Kasauli
is the nearest hill station from Delhi & Chandigarh.
If you start from Delhi early morning, you could actually
be in Kasauli in 5-1/2 hrs.
How
to get there - You
can drive into Kasauli from Delhi,
through the Panchkula by-pass, thus, saving 30-45 mins of
Chandigarh city. You could also take a train to
Kalka-Shimla
Toy Train
and then take a taxi to Kasauli (it should take 45 minutes).
You could also try a very scenic, yet, narrow stretch to
Kasauli, through a left turn, just after
the Petrol Pump in Parvanoo. This is also known as the “Old
Kasauli Road”. This is a shorter but slower
way, into Kasauli.
Take
the Chandigarh route. It's just 350 km from Delhi
and shouldn't take more than 6-7 hrs by road. Note: There's
also a shortcut through Sector 4, Parwanoo via Jangeshu.
